Serving Norwalk's Waterways for Over 100 Years
The WPCF has been used for wastewater treatment for the City of Norwalk since the early 20th century. The facility treats wastewater from the City of Norwalk, a small portion of the Town of Wilton under an inter-municipal agreement, and limited customers in the Town of Westport. The WPCF also accepts septage generated from domestic and commercial sources within the City of Norwalk and surrounding communities trucked in by outside haulers. The WPCA currently retains Veolia as their plant contract operator.

Provide a cost-effective wastewater collection and treatment service that protects the health and safety of Norwalk residents while enhancing their quality of life, reducing environmental impacts, and enhancing water quality in the Norwalk River and Long Island Sound.
